11-Day-Old Baby Died After Being Kissed By Her Mother... The Reason How Will Make You Even More Careful

Mothers are known to be the most careful people in the world. They can't stand still even if we're doing something for our own that could help us grow to be a better person. It is because they love us so much that they wouldn't want anything bad happen to us. But is it true that too much love could cause a really big damage? or worse, take away our lives?

This is a story of a mother who gave birth to a cute baby girl, but 11 days after, she literally took her breathe away just by kissing her newborn angel.

Ruth Schofield had no idea she was putting the baby's life at risk after kissing her newborn daughter. But days later, little Jennifer died - after contracting a common virus from her mother's lips.

She transmitted a virus known as Herpes Simplex Virus after kissing her in the lips.

Jennifer was just 11 days old when she passed away from the virus.

Miss Schofield said: 'The day she died it was a total shock. I just could not believe it.'It was only afterwards we discovered she had contracted HSV. Apparently it was in all her organs - brain, liver, kidneys - everything. On the last day her tiny body just shut down.'

'Because it is so rare, there is not much information out there to warn expectant mothers.'But mothers who suspect they may have HSV shortly before birth should ask for tests., She added

Herpes Simplex Virus can be spread by skin-to-skin contact with an adult who carries the virus. An adult does not have to have sores to spread the virus. A child can get this virus from an infected adult. A kiss, eating from the same utensil, or sharing a towel can spread the virus.
